Manchester United have not contacted the agent of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, sources have told Sport Witness.
Spain’s El Confidencial reported on Tuesday that Florentino Pérez is willing to part ways with a few of his players if he receives interesting proposals and the 29-year-old was believed to be one of them.
It was also claimed the Welshman has not lived up to expectations following Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Juventus in the summer.
The former Tottenham Hotspur star’s market is believed to be in England and Manchester United have long been after the forward.
The same report claimed the Red Devils have already initiated contact with Bale’s representative, Jonathan Barnett, bringing the old rumour into the present.
However, sources have told Sport Witness that Real Madrid have no plans to offload their player and the 20-time English champions haven’t contacted Bale’s camp to discuss a potential transfer.
