Lionel Messi is putting a happy face on a painful situation, report Sport in their Tuesday edition.
The Catalan newspaper have published photographs of the Barcelona star walking around with a sling on his arm and a smile on his face.
However, it’s also explained the Argentine is having trouble trouble sleeping because of the pain associated with his arm break. Despite being told to rest, it’s not coming that easy and is keeping the football genius awake at night.
Messi’s arm has been strapped, but it’s not clear if there’s a splint, as had been reported on Monday. Sport say the injury has been immobilised and now it’s simply a case of waiting.
Unfortunately, the newspaper also explains ‘there are several doctors outside the club’ who have voiced their concern that a recovery period of three weeks is simply too short given the injury sustained.
The process of recovery could therefore be extended beyond the next international break, which is from November 12th to the 20th.
That would see the player out of action for over a month in total.
