AMK today claim Fenerbahce are in talks with Stoke City over the signing of their forward Mame Briam Diouf.
It’s reported the Turkish club have already made a loan offer to Stoke City for Diouf and it’s suggested the Senegalese striker also wants to leave the Championship club.
Diouf didn’t feature in Stoke City’s opening game against Leeds United last Sunday, which the Turkish media believe could give an indication the player hasn’t got a future at the club.
According to AMK Spor, Diouf has contacted former Fenerbahce player Moussa Sow to ask him about the Turkish club and general life in Istanbul. The Stoke City player is said to be impressed with the feedback he received from his compatriot.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce are currently waiting for an answer from Stoke City, and there’s a good chance the player will be heading to the Super Lig.
A decision from the English club could come today, although the Yellow Canaries have until the end of August to sign the attacker.
Diouf is contracted to the Potters until June 2020.
