Manchester United allowed Adan Januzaj to join Real Sociedad last summer and he signed a five-year contract with the Spanish club.
In his debut season in La Liga, the Belgium international scored three goals and registered five assists in 28 league appearances. His form saw him make it to the 2018 World Cup with the national team.
Januzaj made one appearance and scored one goal, which was the excellent winner against England in the final group stage game.
Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad now claims the 23-year-old’s form for club and country has not gone unnoticed, with Everton taking transfer steps.
Januzaj is said to be happy at Real Sociedad, but it’s claimed Everton have now contacted him. The Merseyside club are a ‘nice destination’ from the player’s perspective, both on and off the pitch. A new challenge in the Premier League is presented as tempting.
Het Nieuwsblad also mentions that Januzaj knows the area really well, having lived in Manchester when he played for United. The report doesn’t mention if Everton have contacted the La Liga outfit nor if there has been any agreement with the player.
