La Liga side Valencia have reportedly had a meeting for the signing of Liverpool striker Divock Origi.
As reported by Super Deporte, officials from the Spanish club have spoken to the player’s entourage, who showed his interest in making the move.
But the transfer isn’t happening so soon. For different reasons, both parties are giving some time before getting to the next stages.
That’s because Valencia want to evaluate their other options first, and Origi needs to meet Jurgen Kloop to see if there’s a future at Liverpool for him.
Origi has spent last season at Wolfsburg on a loan spell. He made 36 appearances for the club, and finished the season with seven goals and three assists.
With his contract expiring in 2019, this should be a crucial summer for Liverpool to decide whether to keep or sell him to avoid letting him leaving for free next year.
