Even though the reports from the last week were quite optimistic about Nikola Vukcevic’s transfer to Nottingham Forest, today the club is only one of the possibilities mentioned by the Portuguese newspapers.
The Championship side don’t seem to be that strong in the race anymore, as today, two local outlets have an update on the Braga player’s situation.
One of them is newspaper Record, who claims that Vukcevic has been attracting a list of pretenders which makes the Portuguese side ‘alert’ about the offers that may come to the club.
They say that a transfer is likely, as long as they match Braga’s demands, and the club are already looking for alternatives in the market.
Jornal de Notícias is another one with an article on the player’s exit. They claim that Vukcevic may not even present himself with the squad on Wednesday, when they return from vacations, as he sorts his way out.
It’s claimed the midfielder is close to leaving Braga, with his future being most likely to lie in England, where ‘Nottingham Forest are not the only interested club’.
But there are still not many details on who could be bidding for Vukcevic, or even how advanced things with Forest are. So despite being sure that the player will be off soon, there’s not much the Portuguese press can tell about the process now.
