Tottenham Hotspur continue being seen as one of the main competitors to sign Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord.

Today, it’s Italian outlet La Repubblica who feature a story on the striker, claiming there’s huge competition for his signing.

Their piece highlights that Inter Milan are chasing Gimenez, pointing out that the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Tottenham are other clubs who monitor his situation.

La Repubblica recalls that last year, Lazio wanted to sign the player, and Feyenoord’s €25m request had been considered too high. Now his price is said to be €50m, and expected to go up during the season.

That’s why suitors are likely to move faster for the signing, although there’s no information yet on bids from Inter Milan, Dortmund, Real Madrid or Tottenham.

Gimenez is in a quite impressing scoring form at Feyenoord this season, with 12 goals and two assists in nine appearances. That’s why it’s absolutely no surprise to see such a big competition for his signing, and the Dutch side can only benefit from that auction.
