Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has not held talks with Juventus about a return to Italy this summer.

That’s what his agent is insisting today, claiming that the current ownership issues at Chelsea are prohibiting any kind of deal from happening.

Jorginho has been regularly linked with a return to Italy for the last year, following Italy’s success at Euro 2020 and the big part he played in it.

No move happened last summer or in January, but there have been numerous reports regarding interest from Juventus, who are keen to reinvent their midfield for Maximiliano Allegri this summer.

Jorginho is a name that is reportedly on their list, and he is believed to be keen on a return to his homeland, having turned a difficult spell at Chelsea into a successful one since arriving in 2018.

Like many players, though, he currently finds himself in limbo due to the sanctions imposed on the club because of owner Roman Abramovich.

And his agent insists because of that, any suggestion of talks with Juventus about a move are wide of the mark.

“Negotiation with Juve? Given this situation and that Chelsea are without a buyer, he 100% (Jorginho) remains in London,” he told Calciomercato.it.

“I have known Cherubini (Juventus director) for 20 years; he is aware of the situation.”
