Club Brugge star Noa Lang has been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few years and West Ham United have said to be one of his admirers.
Last November, Corriere dello Sport reported AC Milan will face competition from Leeds and the Hammers to sign the winger.
Last week, Voetbal Nieuws stated the West Ham target is expected to leave the Belgian club in the summer. This claim was backed up Sparta Rotterdam assistant manager Nourdin Boukhari, who is also his father-in-law.
The Netherlands international’s future continues to be a topic of discussion in Belgium and his homeland. Lang scored in his side’s 2-2 draw against Cercle Brugge in the derby clash and launched a rant at his teammates as he walked into the tunnel after the tie.
Former Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder isn’t pleased with his compatriot’s behaviour and has sent a warning to him.
“Where can he go? He was described by Van Gaal as a fantastic substitute. I think that is his level: against the Orange, but no basis. These are things that need to be done,” Sneijder told Veronica Inside, relayed by Soccernews.
“You can be angry, but you have to do this to your fellow players in the dressing room. This is not stated, you should not do it this way. You can get angry, but not in a place where cameras can catch everything. Then just tell those players that they don’t make it every week. He can play ball, by the way.”
Former Ajax winger Andy van der Meijde had a different take on the West Ham target’s rant.
“I’ve had him in the car once. He’s a very sweet boy. He is who he is and it doesn’t matter to him. He doesn’t care about anything; he just does his own thing. It is also a quality, because Zlatan [Ibrahimović] had that too. I also disapprove of this behavior, let that be clear,” Van der Meijde explained.
