Joshua Zirkzee has passed his medical at Manchester United and an announcement is expected soon from the club.
That’s according to journalist Patrick Berger, who reports that the Dutch striker is now a Manchester United player and will be announced soon.
United have pushed ahead with their efforts to sign Zirkzee this week, agreeing a deal with Bologna that has seen them dodge paying the player’s €40m release clause.
Instead, they have agreed a deal with the Italian side that will see them pay slightly above the release clause over a three-year period, something which Bologna have agreed to.
Reports have been progressing quickly since that point, with it claimed yesterday that Zirkzee was travelling for his medical in England.
Berger now reports that he has successfully passed his medical and signed a five-year deal, which will include an option for Manchester United to extend it by another year.
The Dutch attacker is a Manchester United player, and an announcement is expected soon on the transfer as United get underway strengthening Erik ten Hag’s squad now that his future at the club has also been resolved.
