You’ll probably feel old reading this, but this week, it’s been ten years since Manchester United announced the signing of Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican international joined the Red Devils on the 8th of April 2010, following a £7m move from Chivas Guadalajara.

The striker has been interviewed by ESPN Mexico at the weekend, and to celebrate the anniversary of the biggest move in his career, he’s recalled how it all happened.

In four years at Manchester United, Chicharito Hernandez made 157 appearances for the club, with 59 goals and 20 assists. He won two Premier League titles at Old Trafford.

In September 2014, he was loaned out to Spanish giants Real Madrid, and when returning to Manchester United, he was immediately sold to Bayer Leverkusen in an £11m deal. Chicharito later played for West Ham United and Sevilla, before joining MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy in January.
