On Wednesday, Transfermarkt journalist Benedikt Duda reported Werder Bremen are trying to sign Manchester United youngster Isak Hansen-Aarøen.
Later that day, Deichstube stated the Bundesliga side are working intensively to get this deal over the line.
This is backed up by Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, as he now provides the latest on this case on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In a short report, he says Werder Bremen are ‘still pushing’ to take the 19-year-old away from Manchester United. Plettenberg adds that the deal is ‘on the verge’ of being ‘finalised today’, without providing any details about the negotiations.
The Norway U21 international’s contract lasts until the end of this season and Plettenberg hasn’t specified the type [loan or permanent deal] of operation Werder Bremen are aiming for.
This information is provided by Norway’s TV2, who state the teenager will join the German club on a permanent deal. It’s said he’ll undergo medical examinations today and sign his contract at Werder Bremen.
Hansen-Aarøen arrived at Manchester United from Norwegian side Tromsø in 2020 and will leave the club without making an appearance for their senior team.
