Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly interested in a Sheffield Wednesday youngster.

The news comes from Portugal, where a story from outlet O Jogo highlights the potential of Daniel da Costa.

It’s claimed that since being called up for camp with the youth ranks of the national team in his home country, the 15-year-old has been ‘regularly observed’ by several English clubs, with Manchester United and Liverpool ‘at the head’.

O Jogo points out that Sporting also scouted the wonderkid, who’s praised for his ‘speed, dribbling and decision-making ability’.

It’s recalled that Daniel da Costa was born in England, but since his father is Portuguese-Angolan, he could be called up by the Portuguese national team.

For now, there’s no information on whether Manchester United and Liverpool will soon move to take the player from Sheffield Wednesday, who don’t have him included in the first team squad yet.

The Red Devils may have some preference for the player due to his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, as O Jogo claims the youngster wears the same number seven as his idol.
