Given their current status in world football, it’s no surprise to hear a player wants to join Liverpool.
The Reds have become a European force once again under Jürgen Klopp, with their Champions League victory last season just the tip of the iceberg for them.
Under the German, the Reds are now one of the top teams in Europe and will likely end their long wait for a Premier League title sooner rather than later.
The most significant improvement at Liverpool under Klopp has been the development of the players, with young and experienced players alike both drastically improving under his leadership.
It’s that improvement which has caused numerous players around Europe to look at Anfield as the perfect destination for them to target.
We’ve already seen several youngsters choose Liverpool over other clubs and, if KV Mechelen striker William Togui had a choice, he’d go there too.
The 23-year-old has five goals in 11 league games for the club this season and when talking about his future, made it clear that Liverpool are the club he has in his viewfinder.
“My ambition is to always be at the top level,” he told Sport Mania.
“I would also like to express my talent in a big league like the Premier League. To achieve this goal, you may have to be focused and always working.
“I’m aiming for the English championship because it suits my style of play. I dream of joining Liverpool, who is an effective club in the game and has the culture of winning. I like challenges.”
