After it was initially announced to be likely happening three weeks ago, Alexis Tibidi appears to be on his way to Manchester City on loan.
The news comes from RMC Sport in France, who report that the 20-year-old, who is owned by affiliate Troyes and was on loan at NEC Nijmegen in Holland, will be sent to England for the next six months.
As of yet, neither the French club nor Manchester City have come out with official announcements that the move is taking place, but the outlet are certain it is.
It’s seen as a bit of a ‘surprising’ one, but after failing to gather any minutes in the Netherlands, the idea is for him to play in the U23s at the Etihad.
Not only that, but he would also ‘sometimes train’ with the first-team, giving him a chance to learn from some of the best around, including Pep Guardiola.
Tibidi will also be accompanied by a ‘personal osteopath’ during his stay at Manchester City in order from him to receive the ‘best possible support’.
The young winger started his career with Toulouse, before heading to Germany with VfB Stuttgart, where he spent a year on loan at SCR Altach.
He then was transferred to Troyes in January last year, but headed to NEC for game time, that he never received, after making just three appearances for the French club.
