It appears that, after months of going through multiple offers, Jean-Clair Todibo will not be leaving Toulouse for the Premier League, choosing Spain instead.

According to RMC Sport on Friday afternoon, the player has decided to join Barcelona, despite previous interest from the likes of Liverpool and Juventus.

However, as you might have guessed, this isn’t what this article is about, as the French outlet also claim Manchester City had reached an agreement with Toulouse president, Olivier Sadran, regarding a January transfer.

Unfortunately for Pep Guardiola and co., Todibo decided to decline the move to the Etihad, preferring to team up with Samuel Umtiti instead of Aymeric Laporte.

As things stand, the young defender has three options in front of him: he could leave on a free at the end of the season or move as soon as January, meaning both clubs would have to sort a transfer fee.

The final one would be for Todibo to move at the end of the season, and then sent back on loan for the 2019-20 season.

However this last option isn’t a priority for both club and player.

Either way, he won’t be going to Man City.
