Young Boys are going to Aston Villa on Thursday looking to win and aren’t concerned about the turnaround from Unai Emery’s side this season.
That’s according to Alvyn Antonio Sanches, who has been speaking to Blick. He insists that Young Boys head to Villa Park with no fear.
The Swiss side take on Aston Villa in the Europa League tomorrow. Unlike earlier in the season, it’s perhaps not the best time to make the trip.
The Villans started the season slowly, to say the least, but have turned that around in superb fashion. They’ve won eight of their last 10 games in all competitions and propelled themselves to forth in the Premier League to boot.
They’re also sixth in the Europa League table at this point after three wins in four games to date. They’re three points behind leaders Midtjylland.
Unai Emery appears to have gotten them back on track after a slow, and rocky, start to the season following a disappointing summer transfer window. There was also plenty of turmoil off the pitch as Monchi departed his role as director of football.
Now they’re flying once again under Emery’s leadership. But that’s not something that appears to be worrying Young Boys.
“Tomorrow, Aston Villa awaits us in Birmingham,” said Sanches.
“They recently won against Bournemouth and Leeds and have climbed to fourth place in the Premier League. They are undoubtedly a very big opponent. But we’re going there to get something.”
