Chelsea’s Mario Pasalic, who is on loan at AC Milan, has been the subject of transfer rumours in recent weeks, after he failed to make a single appearance for the Serie A side until now.
Over the past few days, there were reports claiming the Croatian midfielder could make a return to Stamford Bridge earlier than planned.
The 21-year-old has been regularly named among the substitutes, but only made his debut yesterday in 1-0 win over Pescara.
Shortly after the game, AC Milan boss Vincenzo Montella spoke to the Italian media (via Calciomercato), and insisted he’d permanently sign Pasalic if it were up to him.
He said: “If I had my way I’d sign him permanently.”
Pasalic would certainly be delighted by Montella’s comments, and that’d be a big boost for the youngster.
Recently, Pasalic’s agent explained the lack of appearances was due to him not being physically ready. However, in our earlier report, we said Pasalic seems to be in the plans of Vincenzo Montella, and the 21-year-old would now be hoping to earn his first start.
