Corriere dello Sport has an article on Wednesday morning about Napoli’s upcoming transfer business, and they’re quite dramatic in how they present things.

According to the Italian newspaper ‘year zero is about to arrive’ at the Serie A club, and there’s revolution in the air.

Those in charge are looking to ‘build a new Napoli’, with several players set to leave and options being lined up to replace them, and that’s where Southampton comes in.

Corriere dello Sport reports the Naples club are looking at two of Ralph Hasenhüttl’s current side. First up is Jan Bednarek, who has made 25 appearances for Southampton so far this season and is a regular for his manager.

Napoli don’t just like the player for his height, they’re also impressed by the experience he’s built up. The 25-year-old has a contract with the Saints lasting until June 2025.

Next, it’s Mohammed Salisu, who is also a regular and has made 27 appearances so far this season. The 22-year-old has a contract lasting until June 2024.

There’s no indication of potential transfer fees, and that’s likely where Napoli plans would hit the buffers.
