Barcelona could be set to cause problems for Chelsea this summer on more than one front.

Tuesday’s edition of Sport reports the ‘entire defence could be changed’ at the Camp Nou, as they look to get rid of some players and bring others in.

Óscar Mingueza, Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti could all be shown the door should offers arrive, and it’s explained Barcelona’s plan is to spend heavily heavily on one central defender, and bring another in on a free transfer.

Sport state: ‘The names of Christensen and Kounde are written in capital letters in the sports area, while De Ligt seems very complicated because of the salary he receives at Juventus.’

Andreas Christensen is coming to the end of his contract with Chelsea, and he could be the free agent signing, with Barcelona interest in Cesar Azpilicueta also getting a mention.

Chelsea themselves have been trying to sign Jules Kounde from Seville, and it’s believed they’ll return for another attempt in the summer. However, there’s been some Catalan confidence that the Frenchman would pick the Barca option over joining Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Monday saw claims that the Blues are already preparing their Kounde swoop, and now they look set to face tough competition.

There’s a battle ahead.
