If the Dutchman is expected to spend a long spell on the sidelines, Algemeen Dagblad state that there are concerns his spell at Old Trafford could be ‘over’.
This would mean the recent clash against the Cherries could potentially be Van de Beek’s ‘last achievement’ for Manchester United, even though he has a contract until 2025.
They add that if the injury is as serious as first though, then ‘a farewell seems almost inevitable’ for the player, who left the game in tears, perhaps knowing exactly what this all meant for him.
