Benfica midfielder Florentino Luís is wanted by Nottingham Forest and Fulham, according to reports from the Portuguese media today.
It’s newspaper O Jogo who writes that the Eagles are looking for a new player for that position, as they know the 24-year-old may soon be on his way out of the club.
It’s said Florentino only didn’t leave Benfica this summer because of Gonçalo Ramos’ sale to Paris Saint Germain, and it isn’t known how longer they can hold the midfielder there.
Nottingham Forest and Fulham are mentioned alongside the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the list of pretenders, with O Jogo claiming those clubs could make an ‘irrefutable’ offer.
Florentino is protected by a €120m release clause, but is actually just valued by Transfermarkt at €20m.
The midfielder was heavily linked to Nottingham Forest this summer, with claims of a bid being turned down by Benfica.
Now it seems the competition is growing, and even Fulham could make it harder for the Tricky Trees to get their man in the upcoming windows.
