Earlier this week, we covered reports from Portugal regarding Yannick Bolasie’s situation at Sporting.

Despite having a positive start to the season in Lisbon, the Everton loanee is no longer being selected by manager Silas, and it’s been that way since the end of January.

It started with him getting a red card, staying out for suspension, and then he never made it to the match-day squad again.

And according to newspaper O Jogo today, there’s a reason why he’s not been featuring for the club. That’s because of his bad performances in training.

The outlet writes that Bolasie has been giving a ‘less positive response’ to the intensity in trainings, so Silas decided to leave him out of the two last games.

O Jogo reiterates that it depends on Sporting to make Bolasie’s transfer permanent.

They say the Lions haven’t revealed the exact amount, but according to other reports, they must pay Everton a fee of €4.5m to buy the player at the end of the season.

Given they’ve clearly got an issue with his attitude in training, that doesn’t seem likely.
