With Matheus Martins loaned to Watford by Udinese, the Italian media is always keeping an eye on how the forward has been doing in England.

Today, outlet Mondo Udinese features a story showing concern about the 19-year-old, pointing out he hasn’t been playing lately.

The outlet writes that the Brazilian has been kept out of Watford’s team ‘still for unknown reasons’, and that decision is ‘not good’ for Udinese.

Matheus Martins has in fact only made six appearances for the Hornets since joining the club in January. Those were the first six games they had in the Championship after his arrival, with the last of them being against Burnley on the 14th of February.

The forward stayed on the bench in the following match, against West Bromwich Albion, and then never showed up in Watford’s matchday squad again.

As the player waits for Chris Wilder to give him a chance, he’d been mostly featuring for the Hornets’ U-21 squad, and was recently called up for Brazil’s U-20 team as well.

So as things stand, Udinese may regret having sending their new signing to England right away, as they won’t have an experienced player returning from the loan.
