RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol is ‘on the verge of leaving’ and has already ‘reached an agreement’ with Manchester City.
That’s according to BILD, who say the Croatian international is set to be the latest major departure from the German club this summer.
They cover the situation at Leipzig as they look set to lose Dominik Szoboszlai after Liverpool activated his €70m release clause and he travelled to Merseyside.
He will be the third key player to leave Leipzig this summer after Christopher Nkunku and Konrad Laimer and BILD say Gvardiol is also ‘on the verge’ of moving.
That’s because the defender, who rose to prominence last season and shined at the World Cup in Qatar, has ‘already reached an agreement’ with Manchester City to join them.
Leipzig are also ‘willing to discuss’ a transfer for him if they can receive at least €100m, a figure that Manchester City have shown a willingness to pay in the past if the player is right.
Whether they will for Gvardiol isn’t mentioned but BILD are confident that a deal will happen at some point, particularly as the player already has an agreement in place in terms of his own contract at the Etihad.
