Tottenham are one of the clubs likely to be watching Mohamed Kudus at the World Cup, while AC Milan have their eyes on Spurs midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who cover the dual scouting missions taking place during the tournament in Qatar over the next few weeks.
They explain that the World Cup has always been a ‘prestigious showcase’ for players where often unknown entities can emerge and make themselves seen by the biggest in the world.
Market operators will clearly be in Qatar to discover some new young talent and AC Milan are one of those who will be involved.
They’re keeping a specific eye on two players in particular, Mohamed Kudus and Tottenham’s Pape Matar Sarr.
Kudus has been impressing for Ajax this season, already reaching double figures after 21 games and making it impossible for him to go ‘unnoticed’.
He has ended up in the sights of various clubs around Europe and Tottenham are one of those who will be keeping an eye on him in Qatar.
So will AC Milan, who have also ‘not stopped following’ Sarr since his move to Spurs. Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini tried to ‘pick him up on loan’ in the past without success and remain keen.
The youngster is determined to carve out a starring role for himself with Senegal during the tournament and the hope is that Tottenham could agree to let him out in January if he does so.
