Earlier this week, Fanatik reported Youri Tielemans wants to leave Aston Villa in January. It was also stated his agent has informed Galatasaray that they could carry out a deal for his client.
The Turkish champions’ response wasn’t mentioned even though their manager, Okan Buruk, is keen on this operation.
Fotomaç now bring the latest updates on the Istanbul club’s desire to sign the Aston Villa player.
Galatasaray had the 26-year-old on their agenda before he joined Unai Emery’s side on a free transfer in the last window and he still remains a target for them.
It’s said they have ‘made another move’ and ‘work has begun’ to try to sign the Belgium international. The report adds Buruk’s side have made ‘first contact’, likely with the former Leicester City man’s camp, for a potential deal.
Tielemans has been restricted to 144 minutes of action in the league this season and that doesn’t include a single start. The midfielder is unhappy with his situation and is ‘keen on playing for Galatasaray’, even if it’s on a loan deal.
Fotomaç state the Turkish club’s officials will push for this condition [loan deal] in their efforts to take him away from Aston Villa in the winter market.
