With the links between Barcelona and Manchester City star Bernardo Silva being one of the oldest in the transfer market, it’s never a surprise to see more news about his potential move to the Camp Nou.
With this rumour recently reawaken, especially with the player claiming he could soon leave the Premier League side, people at the La Liga giants have been commenting on it.
So as Barcelona president Joan Laporta was interviewed on Wednesday by Cadena Ser, he was asked about the chances of taking Bernardo Silva from Manchester City.
“Bernardo Silva for 80 million will surely not come… because won’t pay them,” Laporta told Cadena Ser.
Speaking to the Portuguese media this week, Bernardo Silva claimed he doesn’t know if his future will lie with Manchester City, as he should soon sit with the club and speak about the situation.
His wish to join Barcelona was never a secret, but given the Catalan side’s difficulty to afford big signings in the past few years, they’ve been having trouble to get to a deal with Pep Guardiola’s side, especially because of the importance Silva has for the team.
