The Brazilian media is now bringing more details of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ offer for Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto.
The latest story comes from Goal, who confirms that an offer for a loan with an option to buy was sent by Wolves.
According to their article, the bid’s details were sent directly to Corinthians president Augusto Melo, who is still to give a response.
What sounds interesting is that Yuri Alberto’s staff was not contacted about the transfer to Wolves, as the clubs have been speaking directly to each other.
The Molineux side reportedly believe the transfer ‘would be possible’ in those conditions, especially because Corinthians are about to complete the signing of another striker.
Wolves have a few hours to get the signing done, and perhaps that’s the reason why they want a quick deal with the Brazilian side before agreeing personal details with the player.
We’re still to see whether a loan with an option to buy will work, though. Corinthians are definitely interested in selling Yuri Alberto, and seeing him return to the club wouldn’t be nice.
