Ola John’s spell at Wolves is described as in a “critical situation” by the Portuguese media today.

The winger, who’s loaned by Benfica to Wolves until the end of the season, has made only three appearances for the English club.

CapturarDiário de Notícias has an article saying the three big Portuguese clubs have ninety players on loan, and those who aren’t playing, such as Ola John, could be seet heir value dropping.

This is Ola John’s third loan, as he already had spells at Hamburg and Reading. He signed for Benfica in 2012 for €9m, and considering the fact that his contract expires in 2018 and he hasn’t been playing, it’s quite unlikely they’ll get that money back.

The player has only 71 minutes for Wolves this season. Twenty seven of them in two Championship matches and 44 more in the EFL Cup. From the eleven signings that the Wolves made for the season, Ola John is the one who has played the least.
