Wolverhampton Wanderers will make an offer for Las Palmas goalkeeper Álvaro Valles at some point this summer after already contacting his agent.
That’s according to Marca, who say Wolves will be putting a bid in for the goalkeeper, who has refused to sign a new contract with the Spanish side.
The newspaper explains that Las Palmas are now at the point they’ve accepted they will need to sell Valles as he doesn’t want to renew his contract.
Thus, a departure is scheduled for the summer and his ‘magnificent season’ so far means he has interested parties all over Europe.
All the relevant parties are in agreement that he will have to leave, and his agents are already working on a potential move for him as a result.
Wolves are one of the sides to have shown an interest and are ‘willing’ to take him to the Premier League this summer.
They’ve already contacted his agents to ‘certify his situation’ at Las Palmas and what it would take to secure his signature. They’re yet to make an official offer ‘but there will be’ according to Marca.
Gary O’Neil currently has Jose Sa and Daniel Bentley in his squad, but Valles is younger than both and thus an attractive option moving forwards.
They only need to make a bid to get him, but that is expected to happen sooner rather than later with everyone, including Las Palmas, preparing for a transfer.
