As reported over the past couple of days, Sasa Kalajdzic has become a target for Wolverhampton Wanderers as Bruno Lage looks for a new striker.

The Austrian has the physical attributes to be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League, and there is a belief that a deal could be struck before the end of the transfer window.

A first offer of €15m was pushed back on Tuesday, according to a report from Sport1, and Sky Germany provide an update on Wednesday.

They make it clear that Wolves ‘want to finalise the deal in the next few days’, but VfB Stuttgart are asking for a transfer fee of ‘up to €25m’ for their goalscorer.

However, the belief is that ‘an agreement in the range of €20m seems realistic’, with the player’s agent travelling to the German city on Tuesday ‘for further talks’.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the coming days, but if there’s only €5m in it, you would expect Wolves to find the required money to make everyone happy.

As for Kalajdzic himself, he is said to already be in agreement with the Molineux side on the personal terms side of things.
