For the past few days, various claims from the Spanish press have stated Atlético Madrid’s Matheus Cunha is heading towards Wolverhampton Wanderers in the winter market.

A few reports had also explained Felipe could follow the forward to the Premier League side.

Marca have a report on the Brazilian duo and regarding Cunha, they state he will become a new Wolves player in January.

Together with the 23-year-old, Felipe will also join Julen Lopetegui’s side. However, the report adds that talks between the Premier League club and Los Rojiblancos have ‘not yet finished’.

Felipe has lost prominence at the Metropolitano this season and has been restricted to only three appearances in all competitions. With a contract expiring next June, the centre-back is aware that his time at Atlético is about to come to an end.

With all three parties in favour of the transfer, a deal to take Felipe to Wolves is likely to take shape in January. There’s confidence in Spain over the move.
