Wolverhampton Wanderers are ‘expected’ to offer Paris Saint Germain forward Pablo Sarabia a two-and-a-half year contract as he finalises a move to Molineux.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who back up reports that the player is set to be Wolves latest addition this month.
Reports yesterday claimed that Sarabia was due to undergo a medical this weekend after the two sides struck a deal worth €7m including bonuses.
L’Equipe don’t go that far but say that after the situation was ‘vague’ on Thursday, the talks ‘accelerated’ in the last few hours and a final agreement is close to being struck.
That has not happened, but Wolves and PSG are hoping to finalise a deal estimated at €5m excluding bonuses, ‘in the next few days’.
Wolves are expected to offer Sarabia a two-and-a-half year deal with a one-year option included. The newspaper does not make it clear if that’s an option for the club or the player, but it is likely the former.
Either way, Wolves are getting closer to a deal and Sarabia looks very likely to the latest addition to Julen Lopetegui’s forward line.
