Mexican side Atletico de San Luis are about to sign a Wolverhampton Wanderers player, according to local reports.
Outlet AM says the North American club have an agreement for the arrival of striker Leo Bonatini.
It’s said the Wolves player has already gone through medical examinations and should sign a contract in the ‘coming hours’. He’ll be tied to Atletico de San Luis until December 2015.
The story claims Mexican side know they’ll be losing centre-forward Abel Hernandez soon, and they ‘moved quickly’ to get to a deal for Bonatini.
For now, there are no reports on how much Atletico de San Luis will spend to take the player from Wolves.
Bonatini joined the Molineux side in 2017. The club first had him loaned from Al Hilal and then spent €4m for the permanent deal.
Despite his many years belonging to Wolves, the striker only made 56 appearances for the club, with 13 goals and seven assists. The reason for that was the multiple loans he had in the period, as he played for Nottingham Forest, Vitória Guimarães and Grasshoppers.
Despite returning to Molineux this summer, he wasn’t being used by the club this season.
