Although Wolverhampton Wanderers have obviously been linked to several Portuguese players in the past few years, they aren’t one of the English sides who often scout Liga NOS.

But something convinced them to do it at the weekend, since as reported by Record, the club had an official watching Portimonense’s 3-2 loss to Porto on Sunday.

With a heroic victory in stoppage time, the Dragons had a few players impressing, especially the likes of Ivan Marcano, Otávio and Luis Diaz. Moussa Marega, who was weakly linked to Wolves in the summer, didn’t have a good performance.

Still to win a single game in the Premier League this season, maybe Nuno Espírito Santo’s side are still working to see how can they strengthen their squad in the January window.

Last week, we had a story speaking of the difficulty that Wolves should find now when trying to get players from Portugal. Perhaps the club are starting work early so they can have more time to get deals over the line.
