Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Rui Patrício will be soon speaking to Portuguese authorities about the attacks he suffered during this final months at Sporting.

As reported by O Jogo today, since the investigations are taking a break for the next couple of weeks, he and former club manager Jorge Jesus will be interviewed on the 7th of January.

Patrício should speak in the morning and isn’t expected to travel to Portugal. He should do it from England via Skype.

Following the attacks at Alcochete, the goalkeeper rescinded his contract with Sporting, having later signed for Wolves. Although he moved for free, the English side decided to later pay a fee and avoid any future problems.

The first statement from security guards and Sporting player show that former club president Bruno de Carvalho had been targeting Rui Patrício as one of those to blame for Sporting’s bad form at the time.

Since Carvalho is a suspect of ordering the attacks made by a group of fans, his relationship with Rui Patrício is one of the key points for this investigation.
