Wolves midfielder João Teixeira is pretty happy with life in England. After scoring a brace in the game against Brentford last Saturday, the player credits his good form to the good adaptation he’s had with Wolves.

In an interview published in the Portuguese newspaper Record this Tuesday, the 22-year-old said: “It was a good game from all and what matters is to help to another victory. Of course I’m happy with the goals, but above all, because they were decisive for the result.”

CapturarAsked about his first spell out of Portugal, the player says the support from his compatriots at the club have helped him not to have any problems away from home: “This is my first experience abroad and I don’t regret this choice at all.

“I feel well, I’ve adapted well and for that I have the presence of Hélder Costa, Ivan Cavaleiro and Sílvio, players who I already knew well. Besides that, we’re at a big club, in a league with strong teams, with history, I’ve been playing regularly. I’m happy.”

And despite his humble approach, Teixeira feels that the Wolves seem satisfied with his first month at the club: “I feel they have confidence in me… but I’m just one more to help”.

The player also commented on tonight’s Championship game against Wigan Athletic: “They’re on the bottom, but there are no favourites here, no easy games. The teams from top of the table lose to the bottom ones often. But we want the third straight win and if I can score… better.”

Teixeira joined Wolves on a one-year loan from Benfica. The Portuguese media haven’t commented on any deal that which allow the English club to keep the player after the spell. Like all Benfica players, his release clause isn’t low: €45m.
