According to a claim in the Italian media, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are showing an interest in Atalanta forward Andrea Petagna.

It’s reported by TMW both Premier League clubs are chasing the 22 year old forward and that the Serie A side would be looking for bids from €10 to €12m.

Both Southampton and Wolves could be looking to strengthen their attacking options in this transfer window and it seems Petagna is an option for both clubs.

Southampton struggled for goals last season whilst Wolves were promoted to the Premier League.

The football outlet also report Atalanta would be looking for a 10% sell clause if the Italian forward is sold this summer.

Petagna came through the AC Milan youth system and after a handful of games for the Serie A giants, and a host of loan moves, he was sold to Atalanta in 2016.

The attacker has since made over 60 league appearances for the club and last year made his debut for Italy.
