Just a few months ago, Wolverhampton Wanderers were linked to Fenerbahce fullback Bright Osayi-Samuel.
It was claimed by the Turkish media that with a very good season, the 26-year-old was receiving interest from a few Premier League clubs, and Wolves were one of them.
Osayi-Samuel last night took part in Fenerbahce’s clash against Olympiacos in the Conference League, and according to Sports Digitale, Wolverhampton had a scout there.
The Turkish outlet doesn’t specifically say why Wolves had a scout at that match, as the Molineux side are just included in a list of many clubs who attended the European clash.
In case Wolverhampton were watching Osayi-Samuel, it’s fair to say he had a decent performance in Fenerbahce’s 1-0 win, despite their elimination on penalties.
Now in case the Premier League club were actually keeping an eye on other targets, that’s something we should soon get to know from the Turkish media.
With the summer market just around the corner, the quarter-finals of any European tournament is definitely a good chance to find some transfer options.
