Last week, Corriere dello Sport reported Wolves are working on a new contract to help Fabio Silva’s potential loan move to AS Roma.
The newspaper claimed that the two clubs have held initial talks, with the striker already reaching an agreement over personal terms for the transfer.
Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports Fabio Silva is now pushing for Wolves to sell him as soon as possible and has made his intentions clear to Vitor Pereira’s side.
He’s agreed to Roma’s five-year contract offer worth €2.5m per season and this is giving hope to the Giallorossi.
So far though, Wolves are putting up a stiff resistance and want €20m to let the striker leave even if his contract runs out in the summer of 2026.
Roma sporting director Frederic Massara does not want to pay over €12m or €13m, and he would rather execute an initial loan deal with an option to buy next summer.
This is now proving to be a key point in the discussions, with the 23-year-old and the Italian side keen on a transfer happening soon.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side may have to make an extra effort though, as journalist Philipp Hinze reports that RB Leipzig also have an agreement over personal terms to sign the Portuguese attacker.
They are yet to meet Wolves’ asking price, but competition is growing.
