Four days ago, Il Secolo XIX reported Genoa really like Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva.
It was also stated the Premier League side could open the door for the forward to leave in the winter market.
Journalist Alfredo Pedullà, via his own website, states the Wolves player is an option for the Serie A side next month.
He claims Genoa will try to sign two to three new players in the winter market and one of the areas they’ll focus on is attack.
The 21-year-old gets a mention because he ‘has been proposed’ to the Italian club, after his struggles at Molineux this season. He’s scored only one goal from 10 games and that came in Wolves’ 5-0 win over Blackpool in the EFL Cup back in August.
There’s a possibility that Gary O’Neil’s side will send him on loan in January and Genoa, along with Monza, have expressed interest to sign the Portugal U21 international.
Pedullà claims the interested parties should take care of Silva’s salary [around €1m] until the end of the season.
The Serie A duo aren’t the only clubs as O Jogo reported on Thursday that Celtic and Rangers are also in the battle to sign the Wolves player in January.
