Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Goncalo Guedes has asked agent Jorge Mendes to get him back to Valencia this month.
That’s according to journalist Héctor Gómez, who says the Spanish club are aware of the player’s desire to go back to the Mestalla.
Guedes move from Valencia to Wolves in August last year for €32.6m after four years in La Liga following a move from Paris Saint Germain.
He had been the star of the show for Valencia but has struggled to establish himself as Wolves, managing just two goals and one assist in 18 games so far.
He was recently left out of the squad by manager Julen Lopetegui, which has seemingly opened the door to a potential transfer this month.
Gómez reports that the Wolves forward ‘has asked Mendes’ to ‘try to bring him back’ to Valencia this month.
The Spanish side ‘already know’ that Guedes wants this to happen, although there is no indication of whether they will make an effort to grant him his wish.
With Mendes on the case, though, it would not be a surprise to see it happen somehow given the influence he wields at both clubs.
🇵🇹 Dudo mucho que se haga, pero Guedes ha pedido a Mendes que lo intente traer de vuelta al VCF. El VCF ya lo sabe. pic.twitter.com/mvT7F1lDD3
