Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the picture to sign Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini in January.

After returning from his temporary spell at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, the Serie A side let him join Fiorentina on a loan deal.

Gollini has not featured in the league since August and has settled for appearances in the UEFA Conference League this season. Fiorentina are considering cutting short his loan stay in the current window.

That’s according to Tutto Atalanta, who provide Atalanta’s stance on the player and also name Wolves as one of his suitors.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are willing to bring Gollini back ‘only if they are sure’ of finding a new club for him in January, because his relationship with the Atalanta manager is not ‘perfect’ and Marco Sportiello’s move to AC Milan is almost ruled out.

José Sá is the first-choice goalkeeper at the Premier League side, and it’s claimed he is no longer ‘immovable’ for Julen Lopetegui. Therefore, Wolves are looking to sign a deputy for Sá and Gollini has been identified as a target.

Apart from Wolves, Bologna and Salernitana are also monitoring Gollini’s situation.
