Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in a deal for Las Palmas youth duo Alberto Moleiro and Ale García this summer.
That’s according to La Provincia, who carry comments from Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez suggesting a deal may already be in place.
Back at the beginning of this month, we covered a report from the same outlet that stated Wolves were keen on Moleiro, who some believe could be the next Pedri in Spain’s youth system.
Wolves were said to be keen on the ‘new jewel’, particularly after he impressed against them in a pre-season game a few weeks ago.
La Provincias state that Las Palmas have a ‘pre-agreement’ in place for the sale of both youngsters, with Ramirez stating yesterday, “there is a pre-agreement to sell two players to a team, although they will continue to defend the team’s shirt this season and next”.
He didn’t name the interested party, but the newspaper says both are ‘wanted’ by Wolves, who had already asked about both players during that pre-season game in Marbella.
They again cover how Moleiro is being likened to Pedri but have nothing to say on García except that he faces a tough fight for a place upfront for the Spanish side this season.
There is no mention of what sort of fee Wolves may have negotiated, just that Las Palmas consider their young talents as a ‘juicy asset’ as they look to continue the trend of selling talent such as Pedri.
Wolves are one of the ‘interested parties’ who are ‘fishing’ in that talent pool and may already have a deal in place if Las Palmas’ president is to be believed.
