Wolverhampton Wanderers have maintained their interest in AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar but may need to beat West Ham to his signature.
That’s according to Sport Mediaset, relayed by Napoli Magazine, who say the Roma goalkeeper has been targeted by the Premier League duo.
They report that Svilar’s performances this season have not only ‘amazed’ Roma but also a number of teams outside of Italy, with Wolves and West Ham at the top of that list.
They’re both targeting moves for the goalkeeper but will need at least €20m if they are to convince Roma, who already have a list of three possible replacements drawn up, into a sale.
Whether either side is willing to pay such a figure isn’t mentioned but their interest has been well covered throughout March.
They were first linked earlier this month before a report claimed they’d watched the player on two separate occasions ahead of a potential move in the summer.
That was followed by comments from Tiago Pinto, who made it clear how proud he was of the player’s performances and insisted he was worth a big price tag.
That price tag now appears to be €20m and it remains to be seen if Wolves, or indeed West Ham, are ready to pay that figure for a new number one goalkeeper.
