Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sasa Kalajdzic will sign his loan deal with Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend or at the beginning of next week at the latest.
That’s according to Frankfurter Rundschau, who say everything is agreed for the Austrian striker to move on loan to the German club.
The newspaper explains Kalajdzic is set to return to the Bundesliga imminently, with Frankfurt keen to wrap up a deal for him to help bolster their attacking options.
He will initially move on a six-month loan deal from Wolves, with his contract due to be signed this weekend or at the beginning of next week at the latest.
What happens after that is unclear at this point as the contract will not contain an ‘explicit purchase option’ and instead be dependent upon his performances in the coming months.
Either way its up to Kalajdzic, who will be handed his chance to impress as the German side consider him of crucial importance and so will put him into the team straight away. Indeed, he is already scheduled to play a role against RB Leipzig in a week’s time.
They believe everything on the deal has been done and this is backed up by journalist Phillipp Hinze, who says ‘almost everything is clear’ on the deal between Frankfurt and Wolves.
According to him the last details being worked on is whether Wolves will ‘remain adamant’ and not include a purchase clause or whether Frankfurt can twist their arm. Either way, Kalajdzic is ‘sitting on his packed suitcases’ and waiting for permission to travel to Germany.
He may have to wait for that, though, as fellow journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Wolves will only sanction an exit when they find a replacement. Everything for a loan has been agreed, though, and there is a verbal agreement in place too so it’s now just a matter of time.
