Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Thomas Beelen from Feyenoord, according to claims from the Netherlands.
1908 today writes that Wolves have already made an approach towards the player’s entourage, although they’re still to get in touch with the Eredivisie club.
It’s said Wolverhampton already know it’ll take at least €20m to get the transfer done. As they’re aware they’ll need to ‘dig deep into their pockets’, they’re still to present their offer.
The outlet claims ‘there’s a chance that will happen’, but it seems Wolves are still to make a decision over that.
Beelen’s contract with Feyenoord runs until 2027, although according to the report the Eredivisie are willing to extend it.
The decision would be up to the player, who may have to choose between moving to the Premier League or staying at his current club.
The defender joined Feyenoord last summer, when they paid only €2.7m to sign him from PEC Zwolle. Right now, he’s valued by Transfermarkt at €12m.
What we shall see is if there’s any chance Wolves’ interest is a rumour to help the player get a nice extension at the Dutch side.
