Adama Traoré’s future at Wolverhampton Wanderers beyond this season remains unclear.
The winger has just over six months left on his current deal, and this has attracted attention from other clubs.
That’s according to Alfredo Pedullà, who says Napoli are among those who like the 26-year-old.
Earlier this month, Wolves appointed Julen Lopetegui as Bruno Lage’s successor. The new coach started the Spain international in his first game in charge against Arsenal.
The former Real Madrid manager would like keep his compatriot beyond his current deal. It’s said the ‘pressing is underway’ as Wolves have ‘made an offer’ for an extension. Traoré needs to respond to the Premier League side’s renewal proposal.
As per the report, Traoré would want to try a new experience elsewhere and is aware that Napoli like him. The Serie A side had looked at signing the attacker in 2019, but Wolves demanding £19m had put them off.
Napoli are now ‘very vigilant’ to Traoré’s situation, while Wolves will continue to push for a new deal. Alfredo Pedullà makes it clear Luciano Spalletti’s side are looking to sign the player on a potential free transfer next summer.
