About two weeks ago, a bold claim from South America suggested that Dario Osorio had already been sold to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
This came from Maks Cardenas, who stated the deal would be one of €6m, with the Chile international making the move from Universidad de Chile.
However, there are some in the South American country who are backtracking a bit, with Encancha being one of those.
They state that following trips from Wolves emissary Matthew Hobbs, the interest from the Premier League club in Osorio ‘was fixed’, but he wasn’t the only one they were keen on.
Encancha state that on their first trip, ‘Wolves also discussed the situation of Vélez Sarsfield’s Máximo Perrone’.
Not only that, but the Molineux side ‘returned to the continent to watch another young talent’, with information from Radio Nacional de Uruguay suggesting they came to ‘see the capabilities of Fabricio Diaz’, who plays for Liverpool FC Montevideo.
He is said to have ‘caught the attention of the English team’, and, much like Osorio, ‘they are waiting for negotiations with the club that owns his contract’.
As for Osorio, they are still ‘following his footsteps’, as he ‘fills the palate’ of Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the belief is that ‘his departure in the following season is imminent’.
So that’s three players being followed, with Wolves waiting to talk with the clubs of Diaz and Osorio, while the latter’s exit is around the corner.
